Naturalization

Naturalization is the process a lawful permanent resident goes through to become a citizen of the U.S. There are multiple steps a person must complete to obtain citizenship through naturalization:

1. Submit a completed application for naturalization (N-400)
2. Submit their fingerprints
3. Attend a naturalization interview
4. Pass a U.S. civics test
5. Pass an English test
6. Take the Oath of Allegiance to the U.S.
