After a false start to this year’s Diversity Visa Lottery Program earlier this month, the State Department announced a new filing period that started October 18th and will end on Wednesday, November 22 at Noon, Eastern Standard Time. Anyone who applied before October 18th was not entered into the system and needs to resubmit his or her application to be considered. Resubmissions of only those applications will not count against the one application per person rule. This year’s DV Lottery is open to persons with a high school or higher degree or at least two years of skilled employment from countries outlined in page 16 of this document.
